Hello,

Je suis fier d’annoncer la sortie de mon nouveau single « Faith Without You » issu de l’EP « The Last Blue Sky » lui-même sorti et distribué par Revolver Records depuis Octobre 2021.

« Faith Without You » est un titre important pour moi, qui renvoit à des questions existentielles telles que l’immortalité et la foi dans une vie où nous errons malgré nous dans une quête perpétuelle du divin.

Le clip animé accompagnant la sortie du single a été réalisé par deux sœurs graphistes très talentueuses, Mylène et Julie Jarrier-Stettin, qui ont réalisé un super travail !

New single – “Faith Without You”

I am proud to announce the release of a new single, “Faith Without You“, out of my new EP “The Last Blue Sky” released in October 2021.

“Faith Without You“ is an important track to me, as its underlying message is the difficulty of keeping faith in a world when important people to you leave you behind, and when you are sometimes looking for divine signs and do not see them. But still, I am a believer, and I believe God has is owns ways, which are beyond understanding.

To accompany the release of this single, an animated video clip was realized by two sisters, Mylène and Julie Jarrier-Stettin, both graphic designers, who did a fantastic job!

To end, a short word of presentation of this new record:

“The Last Blue Sky” EP, following the ”Rain” EP released in 2016, is the second part of a concept called “Rain & Blue Sky” that reflects on the constant changes in our lives, which can be assimilated to the permanent changes in the weather.

“The Last Blue Sky” was also recorded with the Music Factory studio team (Julien Vonarb on the guitars and realization, Aurel Ouzoulias on the drums), and this in order to keep the same sound and ambiance I had found on “Rain”.

“The Last Blue Sky” has a sort of “end of our times” feel, and an overall underlying comforting message that we are all called to live forever and to embrace eternity guided by the inner and deep sense of love which links us all together.

I am really proud of the lyrics on this record, as every song has a powerful meaning or message to convey. Unlike the music which always comes pretty easily to me (as I am usually pretty inspired to find a new harmony or musical theme), I have always struggled with the lyrics of a new song, to summarize words don’t come easily. For “The Last Blue Sky” it was different, as I elected to work on songs where for once I had no difficulty writing the lyrics, which is for e.g. the case for “Dreamers”, which was basically written in one go.

Pour finir, un petit mot de présentation de l’album THE LAST BLUE SKY:

Dans une atmosphère à la fois rétro (70-80) et intemporelle, le chanteur franco-américain Tim Chesley nous apporte un son frais avec une pop résolument rock et progressive dans son nouveau titre “Dreamers”. Dans son premier EP “Rain”il trouvait son style, dans son nouvel album “The Last Blue Sky” il décide d’affirmer pleinement son univers.

Cet album plutôt introspectif et spirituel se veut être une réflexion sur les changements constants que nous expérimentons dans nos vies, à l’image du ciel dont les nuances et les teintes varient à l’infini au-dessus de nos têtes. Entre un ambiance « fin du monde », et un message résolument optimiste, Tim Chesley a fait de cet album un concept dont le thème est universellement touchant, surtout en période de pandémie. Il nous appelle à vivre pour toujours et à embrasser l’éternité, et ce guidés par le sentiment intérieur et profond de l’amour qui nous lie tous ensemble, entre autres à travers la musique.

Chaque morceau de ce projet fait passer un message puissant avec des paroles qui lui viennent des tripes. C’est le cas de son single “Dreamers”, à découvrir le 29 septembre en avant-première, invitant au rêve et à la liberté, à transcender les limites que l’on nous impose.

Si cet opus signé sous le label Revolver Records est tout particulièrement tourné vers le thème de la mort, il appelle surtout à positiver, à ne pas se décourager puisque selon l’artiste, ce qui nous attend tous c’est l’éternité. Donc à vous de rêver en attendant la sortie de l’album prévue le 13 octobre !

Single Information
The first single from the upcoming album “The Last Blue Sky”, “Dreamers” is a 7-minute journey into an idealised world “where silence and beauty would be one”, who’s sound evokes the style of classic Progressive Rock acts like Pink Floyd and Anathema. Backed by a solid rhythm section and floating guitars, Tim’s lyrics express his longing for a better world, inspired by faith when all hope seems to be lost. After weaving its way through the bridge, the song ends on an inspiring acapella of female vocals, recalling the classic sounds of the legendary album “Dark Side of The Moon”, while still feeling fresh and modern. Introspective but hopeful, it is a song for the “Dreamers” of the world.

C’est avec une grande fierté que je vous annonce la sortie de mon nouveau single “Dreamers“, en avant-première de l’EP “The Last Blue Sky” qui lui sortira le mercredi 13 octobre

“Dreamers” est un des titres dont je suis le plus fier, car les paroles sont venues tout naturellement, presque d’un seul jet, alors que d’habitude je galère pour trouver les bons mots sur les bonnes mélodies.

“Dreamers” est le premier titre que je sors officiellement avec le label anglais Revolver Records, avec qui j’ai résigné cette année pour mes nouvelles productions à venir.

Nouvelles de l’EP « The Last Blue Sky” et autres

Cher tous et toutes,

Tout d’abord, j’espère que vous allez bien après ce qui a été une année compliquée (je vais rester poli …) pour tout le monde.

De mon côté, j’ai eu la chance jusqu’à ce jour de rester en bonne santé, et j’ai progressé lentement mais sûrement sur la finalisation de mon dernier EP intitulé « The Last Blue Sky ».

Les chansons sont maintenant toutes enregistrées et mixées (à l’exception d’un morceau où j’ai été assez pointilleux et exigeant avec le mixeur Anthony Arconte: j’espère qu’il me pardonnera)

L’étape suivante est le mastering, puis la promotion.

Je n’ai pas prévu de faire de concerts pour l’instant, mais peut-être des sortes de concerts à la maison sur YouTube en direct (piano – programmations – voix). L’un des objectifs de 2021 est de travailler sur un répertoire.

J’ai fait quelques rencontre intéressantes ces derniers temps (radio locale, agence d’artistes, web marketing, …), j’espère que cela donnera des résultats en 2021!

Bonnes nouvelles aussi du côté du label où je devrais recevoir prochainement un nouveau contrat avec Revolver Records à partir de 2021.

J’espère que vous passerez tous des bonnes fêtes de fin d’année, et que vous trouverez la paix et l’harmonie pour commencer 2021 sur le bon pied.

Dear all,

First of all I hope you are doing fine after what was a complicated year (I will stay polite…) for everyone.

On my side, I have been lucky enough to this day to stay healthy, and I have been advancing slowly but surely on finalizing my last EP called “The Last Blue Sky”.

The songs are now all recorded and mixed (except for one track where I have been pretty picky and demanding with the mixer Anthony Arconte : hope he will forgive me)

The next step is the mastering and then promoting.

I am not planning at this stage any gigs, but maybe some kind of gigs from home on YouTube live. One of the goals of 2021 is to work on a repertoire here.

I have made some interesting connections lately (local radio, artist agency, web marketing, …), hopefully this will give some results in 2021.

Good news also on the record label side where I should be receiving soon a new contract with Revolver Records from 2021 onwards.

I hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year’s Eve, and find peace and harmony in your soul to start 2021 with good spirit.

Hi everyone

First of all, I hope you are all doing well, as well as your families, in these complicated pandemic times.

We are indeed all going through a very strange time in our lives, and I think that each one of us will look at life differently once we get out of this. We will all probably enjoy more the simplest things, like walking in a park, on the beach, going to a nice restaurant…

It has been over two years since I posted anything on my website (!), the last time was to announce that I had been signed by an independent English label “Revolver Records”, which was already big news in itself.

Since 2018 and now, I’ve been trying to promote my music with Revolver (notably via EPKs), and last year 2019 I decided to take my destiny in hands, as to keep one evening in the week for my music, whatever happens. This allowed me to move forward with 7 new demos in 2019, in order to record a new 5 track EP.

At the start of 2020, I approached Music Factory, with whom I recorded the 5-track EP “Rain” a few years ago, and with whom it had been a great experience.

Good news, this year Julien Vonarb (http://www.julienvonarb.com/) and Aurélien Ouzoulias (http://www.aurelienouzoulias.com/) from Music Factory are ready to help me realize my new project 5-track EP called “The Last Blue Sky“

Right now Aurel is recording the drums and percussion parts, so things are progressing on the project, despite the fact that the confinement requires us all to work remotely.

I posted a demo version of “Rainbow Song” a few weeks ago on SoundCloud which will be the first track to appear on the new EP. (https://soundcloud.com/timchesley)

I made a lot of effort to get a good demo, but it is only a demo in the DIY style, and once the song (like the others) will be completed with Music Factory, it will not be more the same story. It will be a little bit like day and night.

I would obviously keep you informed of the rest of the project (finalization, promotion, new clip?)

Bonjour à tous et à toutes,

Tout d’abord j’espère que vous allez tous et toutes bien, ainsi que vos familles, dans cette période de confinement.

Nous vivons une période très étrange, et je pense que chacun d’entre nous regardera les choses différemment une fois que nous serons sortis de là.

Cela fait plus de deux ans que je n’ai rien posté sur mon site web (!), la dernière fois c’était pour annoncer que j’avais été signé par un label indépendant anglais “Revolver Records”, ce qui était déjà une grande nouvelle en soi.

Depuis 2018 et maintenant, j’ai essayé de promouvoir ma musique avec Revolver, et l’année dernière 2019 j’ai repris les choses en main, en me réservant un soir dans la semaine pour la musique, quoiqu’il arrive. Cela m’a permis d’avancer sur des nouvelles démos en 2019, 7 au total, en vue d’enregistrer un nouveau 5 titres.

En ce début d’année 2020, je me suis rapproché de Music Factory, avec qui j’avais enregistré le EP 5 titres « Rain » il y à quelques années, et avec qui ça avait été une super expérience.
Bonne nouvelle, cette année Julien Vonarb (http://www.julienvonarb.com/) et Aurélien Ouzoulias(http://www.aurelienouzoulias.com/) de Music Factory sont partants pour m’aider à réaliser mon nouveau projet d’EP 5 titres qui s’intitulera « The Last Blue Sky »
En ce moment d’ailleurs Aurel est en train d’enregistrer les parties de batterie et de percussions, donc les choses sont en train d’avancer sur le projet, malgré le fait que le confinement nous impose tous de travailler à distance.

J’ai posté il y a quelques semaines sur SoundCloud la version démo de « Rainbow Song » qui sera le premier titre à figurer sur le nouvel EP. (https://soundcloud.com/timchesley)
J’ai fait beaucoup d’efforts pour avoir une démo correcte, mais ce n’est qu’une démo faite avec les moyens du bord, et une fois que le morceau (comme les autres) sera terminé avec Music Factory, ce ne sera plus la même histoire. Ce sera un peu comme le jour et la nuit quoi.

Je vous tiendrais bien évidemment informé de la suite du projet (finalisation, promotion, nouveau clip?)
